White Sox Send Veal Down To Triple-A
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The White Sox have sent pitcher Donnie Veal down to Charlotte, and are expected to reactivate starter Gavin Floyd from the disabled list tomorrow.
Veal, 27, appeared in two games, striking out three in 1 2/3 innings, while giving up no runs with the White Sox this season.
The Sox did not immediately make another move to fill out the 25-man roster, but are expected to activate Floyd off the disabled list to start Monday's series opener against the Twins at U.S. Cellular Field.
Floyd was placed on the DL earlier this month due to tendinitis in his right arm.
