White Sox Send Jordan Danks Back To Triple-A Charlotte
(CBS) The White Sox have optioned outfielder Jordan Danks back to Triple-A Charlotte, they announced Monday afternoon, a move that seems to indicate outfielder Adam Eaton will return from the disabled list ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Indians.
The 28-year-old Danks is batting .190 with two homers and nine RBIs in 33 games this season over two stints in the big leagues. He was hitting .289 in 12 games since getting his latest call-up on Aug. 9.
Eaton started a short rehab assignment Saturday at Charlotte. He's been on the 15-day disabled list since Aug. 9 with a strained right oblique. Eaton's hitting .304 with a .370 on-base percentage this season.
