White Sox Send Guerra Down To Triple-A
(CBS) The White Sox have sent newly acquired righty reliever Javy Guerra to Triple-A Charlotte, the team announced Friday.
Chicago had acquired Guerra off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.
Guerra had a 6.75 ERA in 10 2/3 innings with the Dodgers last season, when he spent most of the year in Triple-A. He's trying to recapture the magic of his rookie season in 2011, when he posted 21 saves and a 2.31 ERA in 46 2/3 innings with the Dodgers.
With the move, Chicago's 40-man roster is at 39 players.
