White Sox Return Home With Wins And Momentum
CHICAGO (WSCR) After a terrible start to the season, the Chicago White Sox went 6-3 over their most recent road trip and return to Chicago nine games back in the division, but carrying some momentum.
"It's awesome," starting pitcher Mark Buehrle said after the White Sox got the series clinching win in Oakland on Sunday.
"I think this whole road trip, going 6-3, going into Anaheim, you know, luckily we missed their two big dogs, but just coming [to Oakland] and winning two of three, it feels awesome."
Over the next seven games at home, the White Sox will square off against the Texas Ranges (21-19, .5 games back in AL West), Cleveland Indians (24-13, first place in AL Central) and Los Angeles Dodgers (19-22, four games back in NL West).
Although they'll only get the Indians and Rangers for two games each, they can use those games to build off their recent success and start to potentially chip away at their current nine-game hole.
