White Sox Place Teahen On 15-Day Disabled List
CHICAGO (WSCR) The Chicago White Sox have placed infielder Mark Teahen on the 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Dallas McPherson from Class AAA Charlotte, the team announced on Tuesday.
Teahen's DL stint, retroactive to May 12, is due to a strained right oblique.
The 29-year old Teahen is hitting .226 (12-for-53) with one home run and four runs batted in, in 24 games this season.
McPherson, who will wear No. 45, is hitting .305 (36-for118) with three home runs and 18 RBI in 31 games with Charlotte. He was signed by the White Sox as a free agent on November 10.
