White Sox Place Floyd On DL; Recall Humber
(WSCR) The Chicago White Sox have placed right-handed pitcher Gavin Floyd on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 8, with right elbow tendinitis.
The club also reinstated right-handed pitcher Philip Humber.
Floyd is 7-8 with a 4.54 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 17 starts this season. He is 3-1 with a 1.37 ERA over his last four starts and threw 7.2 scoreless innings in his last outing.
The 29-year-old Humber has been on the disabled list since June 22 with a right elbow flexor strain. He went 1-1 with a 3.65 ERA in three rehabilitation starts.
