White Sox Need To Take Advantage Of National League Opponents
(WSCR) Last season it was interleague play that sparked the White Sox to turn their season around. After two losses to the Minnesota Twins, the White Sox will have five series against National League opponents.
"We need to take advantage of the opportunity that presents itself at that time," White Sox announcer Ed Farmer said on the Danny Mac Show. "And we haven't done that this year, we just haven't. We haven't had enough hits that were back-to-back, conjoined if you will, that are going to produce a big inning."
The White Sox have the 10th best on-base percentage (.326) in baseball, the 14th best batting average (.256) and have scored the 15th most runs (290) in baseball. However, the White Sox have also hit into the fifth most (62) double plays in baseball.

"We get somebody on, in Minnesota anyway, the next thing was a double play," Farmer said.
After the Arizona Diamondback this weekend, the White Sox will return to U.S. Cellular Field to take the Cubs and Nationals before traveling to Colorado and then to Wrigley Field to finish off their cross-town series with the Cubs.
