White Sox Fortunate For Konerko And Quentin
CHICAGO (WSCR) After losing three of four to the Toronto Blue Jays, the Chicago White Sox are 6-3, including a sweep of the Boston Red Sox.
Chicago is slowly digging themselves out of an early season hole, and doing it without production from Adam Dunn or Alex Rios.
"I think they're very fortunate, at this juncture, that Paul Konerko and Carlos Quentin are carrying the offense, with some help from some other guys," Mark Gonzales, of the Chicago Tribune, said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "Because if those two guys weren't, they'd be in a heap of trouble. We'd be back where we were in late April, where it was just stagnant.

"Having said all that, I think you just send your best lineup out there, and if it doesn't include Adam Dunn of Alex Rios, so be it. Because they've cut their deficit to six games, they still have a ways to go, and you just have to go with your best until you've reached that point where you can work these guys in and live with them in the lineup."
After winning two of three agaisnt the Seattle Mariners, the White Sox welcome the Oakland Athletics to U.S. Cellular for four games.
