White Sox Continue To Be Cautious With Peavy
(WSCR) Jake Peavy can't seem to catch a break.
After dealing with elbow, lat, shoulder and even ankle problems since joining the White Sox in 2009, Peavy took a line drive off his hip in his last start, giving the White Sox coaching staff one more thing to worry about.
While the hip appears to be OK, the team continues to take a cautious approach with Peavy and his tired arm and will continue to do so the rest of the season.

"He's OK with his leg," pitching coach Don Cooper said on The Mully and Hanley Show. "Everything else, let's face it with Jake, we've been dealing with stuff since spring training on. Again, major surgery, new surgery, never been done surgery. So we kind of got to take it day-by-day and continue to do what's best for him, which we feel is continuing to run him out there for now and continue to get that arm strength back and see if we can make some headway this season and see how far we can take it without taking it too far."
