Which Martz Offense Will The Patriots See?
Since the bye week, the Mike Martz offense has taken on a different form. Instead of "the greatest show on turf," we're seeing a balanced offensive attack with a quick hitting passing game. While Martz's offense has had a great deal of success since the bye, will Martz be tempted to attack a weak Patriots secondary?
"I don't think that you're going to see Martz lobby [to open the offense up]," Laurence Holmes said on the Danny Mac Show. "But, I think there's still some elements of what they did in the Martz offense that are still there. There's still some of these five and seven step drops, timing routes and things of that nature."

There's a chance that the Bears might actually take the offense in a different direction, instead of being tempted to go back towards the early season version.
"I don't think you want to go too crazy," Holmes said. "I honestly think that this is one of these games that they play a little closer to the vest. Even though Foxborough is basically the same as here, as far weather is concerned, I think they're going to try and rely on the run game and the defense to win the game."
That gameplan, of running the ball, might be more focused on keeping the Patriots offense off of the field. Because it's been the Patriots' offense that has been impressive this year.
"The Patriots' defense, [Monday] night not withstanding, hasn't been great," Holmes said. "They've been picked on a lot this year. So there should be some opportunities. I think they're going to go for some of the underneath stuff, more so than over the top."
