Wheaton Man Found Dead In West Side Gangway
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are hoping an autopsy Thursday morning will help them determine how a Wheaton man wound up dead in a gangway on Chicago's West Side.
The body of Lionel Lane, 51, was found around 1:50 a.m. between two buildings in the 4600 block of West Monroe Street, in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
Police say Lane suffered some sort of facial injury, but have not determined whether he was shot or beaten.
The autopsy is scheduled for later Thursday at the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
