West Suburban Store Owner Offers Toys To Needy Families
(CBS) -- A west-suburban businessman is doing his part to make sure kids in need have toys this Christmas, reports WBBM's Nancy Harty.
Rob Anderson says he knows what it is like to go without at Christmas. He says his father was murdered when he was nine and his mother suffered a massive stroke shortly afterwards.

So, the 44-year-old is offering parents who can't afford to buy toys on their own a chance to pick something of the shelves of his resale shop, Anderson's Coins and Collectibles, in downtown St. Charles.
"I really don't care if my shelves are empty because what is the point of having toys on a shelf rotting on Christmas Day versus a kid not being able to get a gift?"
He says he has given toys to over 223 kids so far.
Anderson will still be helping people at his store until 6 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. For more information, visit the store's Facebook page.
