West Side Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A West Side man is scheduled to appear in court Monday, after he was ordered held on a $1 million bond Saturday accused of raping a child, police said.
Jerry Harris, 38, of the 4200 block of West Jackson Boulevard, was charged with one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, according to police News Affairs Officer Anne Dwyer.
Harris was the subject of an investigative alert when he was arrested Friday at 10:15 a.m., the officer said.
Dwyer did not know where or when the alleged attack occurred.
During a bond hearing Saturday, Harris was ordered held on $1 million bond, according to a website for the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
Harris is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Monday in Violence Court, (Br. 66).
Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
