West Nile Virus A Factor In Cicero Man's Death
CICERO, Ill. (AP) -- Health officials in Cook County say a man from suburban Chicago has died of West Nile virus.
The Cook County Department of Public Health announced the death on Monday. They say the victim was a 67-year-old man from Cicero who had underlying health conditions.
Last week Illinois public health officials announced the first West Nile death of the season in the state. The victim was a Logan County man in his 80s who died last month.
