Weekend Closures For Byrne Interchange Work To Begin Aug. 21
(CBS) -- Construction work on the Jane Byrne Interchange will lead to lane closures over several weekends this fall, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Monday.
IDOT warns motorists to expect delays when driving through the interchange during the weekends of Aug 21-23, Aug 28-30, Sept. 25-27 and Oct. 16-18.
Crews are installing steel beams to support the deck of a new flyover bridge connecting the Dan Ryan to the Eisenhower.
Portions of the Eisenhower and Congress Parkway will be closed and lanes will be reduced on the Dan Ryan and Kennedy expressways.
