A cold week ahead for Chicago with flurries
CHICAGO (CBS)—Temperatures in Chicago will remain below average as an arctic air mass remains locked in across the Midwest.
Overnight lows will drop back into the teens, feeling like the single digits at times.
For the upcoming week, temperatures will stay bitterly cold. Most days' highs will be in the 30s this week, with the mildest day arriving Wednesday with a high of 40.
On Monday, flurries and a few lake-effect snow bands will be possible in Indiana near the lakeshore. That will also be the trend Tuesday.
Porter County, Indiana, could get a dusting of snowfall under a healthy band of lake-effect snow. By Wednesday, there is a small chance for a few rain/snow showers.
