Two Charged In String Of Waukegan Robberies
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two men have been charged with three June robberies in north suburban Waukegan.
Greagory Gilmore, 19, robbed someone at gunpoint around midnight June 8 in the 2600 block of Washington Street, according to a statement from Waukegan police.
The second incident happened about 4:30 p.m. on June 27 in the 300 block of South Elmwood Avenue when Isaiah Johnson, 19, robbed a juvenile by force, police said.
Later that same night, Gilmore and Johnson robbed another adult by force and stole property about 7:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Melrose Avenue, police said.
Gilmore, of the 100 block of Drew Lane in Waukegan, was charged with robbery, armed robbery and aggravated battery, police said. He appeared in bond court Friday and was ordered held at the Lake County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
Johnson, of the 0-100 block of South Gretta Avenue, was charged with two counts of robbery, police said. He appeared in bond court Thursday and was ordered held at the Lake County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
