Wauconda Barber Shaves Playoff Beards For Charity
WAUCONDA, Ill. (CBS) -- Three years ago after the Blackhawks won the last Stanley Cup, Tremonte's Barber Shop saw plenty of men looking to shave of their beards. This year, owner Will Tremonte thought he'd make an event out of it.

"Guys with playoff beards can come in, we'll remove their beards, they can get a cup from Bulldogs and a beer from Middleton's for a beer, as part of the cost of the donation," Tremonte said.
The cost is $10 for a shave, a beer and a commemorative cup.
"We think this is a way to beautify Wauconda, quench their thirst and donate to a worthy cause at the same time."
The playoff beard originated with the team and the tradition has caught on and become more and more popular each year.
"This year there have been a lot of playoff beards, as the Hawks got closer the longer the Hawks remain in, the longer the beards stay on and this, with the shortened season, they lasted a little longer than normal," said Tremonte.
The event begins at 5:30 at Tremonte's Barber Shop on Main Street. All proceeds go to the Wauconda Park District kids sports program.
