Watering Restrictions In Place In Several Suburbs
BANNOCKBURN, Ill. (CBS) -- Because of the hot weather and dry conditions, several suburbs have implemented water restrictions.
According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times' Lincolshire Review, Bannockburn residents in even-numbered houses may only water their lawns on even-numbered days. Odd numbers can sprinkle their lawns on odd-numbered days. On all days, there is no watering allowed at all between noon and 6 p.m.
Highland Park and Deerfield have established the same restrictions, the Sun-Times reports.
In Lincolnshire, an even- and odd-numbered day watering restriction is also in place, but there is no ban on midday watering, the Sun-Times reports.
Riverwoods has banned lawn sprinkling between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on all days, the newspaper reports.
