Watch: Manny Machado's Bat Toss Flies At A's Third Baseman
(CBS) Orioles third baseman Manny Machado started a benches-clearing argument against the A's on Sunday when his bat mysteriously went flying toward third baseman Alberto Callaspo on a swing one pitch after Machado had been brushed back by reliever Fernando Abad.
Was it on purpose? The guys on the McNeil and Spiegel Show were debating it this morning, and Spiegel sure thought so. He said Machado needs to be suspended for a handful of games. Some believed the bat was intended to go toward Abad.
