(CBS) Hours before his team's contest at Los Angeles on Monday night, Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane learned that his grandfather -- whom he called a "great friend" -- had passed away.
Then Kane went out and honored him with superb play, recording three points, including two points, in a 5-3 win. Afterward, he became emotional when talking about what his grandfather, Donald Kane, meant to him in a video by NHL.com.
