Wanted McHenry County Fugitive Nabbed In Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (STMW) -- The list of Top Ten fugitives in McHenry County got shorter after a man wanted for the sexual abuse of a girl was captured by police and federal agents in Milwaukee.
On Nov. 8, 2012, Algonquin police obtained an arrest warrant for Brandon A. Williams of Milwaukee for sexually abusing and choking a juvenile girl, a statement from the McHenry County Sheriff's office said. When numerous attempts to locate him were unsuccessful, he was declared a fugitive.
Williams was wanted in McHenry County on a warrant charging aggravated criminal sexual abuse and aggravated battery, the statement said. He was also wanted in Kane County on two arrest warrants for drug charges, and in Cook County for a traffic warrant.
On Dec. 4, 2012, he was added to the sheriff's Most Wanted Top Ten Website, and on Dec. 17, 2012, he was listed on Comcast's Police Blotter Most Wanted.
On May 14, the sheriff's Apprehension Unit learned that Williams was living at an address in the Milwaukee area. On May 22, he was taken into custody without incident by sheriff's detectives and agents from the U.S. Marshal Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Williams, of 5730 95th St. in Milwaukee, is being held in the Milwaukee County Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois, according to the sheriff's office.
