Wanted: Man Suspected Of Beating, Stabbing Mom, Dumping Her In Ditch
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are looking for a 22-year-old south suburban man suspected of severely beating and stabbing his mother Monday, then driving off after dumping her in a ditch.
Blake Springsteen is suspected of beating his 46-year-old mother in the 3600 block of Flossmoor Road in unincorporated Homewood, a release from the Cook County Sheriff's office said.
He then reportedly bound her, put her in the trunk of a car and drove her to the village of Crete, where he stabbed her multiple times before leaving her in a ditch in the 900 block of Columbia Street.
The victim remained hospitalized in stable condition as of Tuesday.
Springsteen, of Homewood, is a white male, about 6 feet and 240 pounds.
Sheriff's police advise the public not to approach Springsteen but if anyone has information about his whereabouts they should call 911 or (847) 635-1188.
