Walter's Perspective: Gisele Telling It Like It Is
(CBS) -- The Super Bowl and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady are an old story by now, but not Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen.
Being a super model, and a potty mouth, Gisele will be a story for some time. An independent and strong woman is unusual in the NFL, where wives tend to be more adoring and docile.
Not Gisele, who was heckled by beer burping boys booing her husband after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl.
"My husband cannot (bleeping) throw that ball and catch the ball at the same time," Bundchen said after the game, in a moment captured by TV cameras. "I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times!"
She was talking about a number of catchable passes dropped by Patriots receivers. She was upset by her husband's loss and was being harangued by the barking from hecklers. So she barked back and now she's being barked at for that, called out for using a word most of us might have used.
Bad call, especially since she was just telling it like it was.
