Voting Super Site For Suburban Cook County Now Open At Union Station, Dozens More Early Voting Sites Open Today
CHICAGO (CBS)-- With about two weeks until Election Day, nearly four dozen new early voting sites opened in the Cook County suburbs on Monday, as well as a new super site at Union Station, a busy transit hub for commuters.
Cook County election officials said it's the first-ever super site at Union Station. Voting booths have been set up in the Founders Room. Polls are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., but are closed on weekends.

As early voting ramps up, voting by mail already has proved extremely popular in Cook County, with more than 500,000 requests for mail-in ballots so far. A total of 1.6 million people are registered to vote in the suburbs.
Chicago already has a super site for voters in the loop at 191 N. Clark St., as well as sites in all 50 wards.
In addition to the early voting sites in the Cook County suburbs, dozens more are available in DuPage, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties; including 18 in DuPage County, 17 in Lake County, 11 in McHenry County, and 24 in Will County.
The Illinois State Board of Elections spokesperson says 260,000 people have voted early in-person in Illinois as of mid-day on Friday.
Online voter registration ended Sunday night, but you can still register and vote in person at early voting sites or at your polling place on Election Day.
