Violent Passenger Forces Flight From Chicago To London To Make Emergency Landing
(CBS) -- The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say an American Airlines flight from Chicago to London had to make an emergency landing in Newfoundland after passengers and crew had to restrain a man who was intoxicated and violent.
An RCMP spokesman says the man damaged some seats on the aircraft and "was restrained by some passengers and crew using flex cuffs and tape."

The RCMP says the 35-year-old man from Fargo, North Dakota, was disobeying the commands of the captain and the crew.
The American flight from Chicago to London made an emergency landing in Gander.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police arrested the man - now accused of "causing a disturbance aboard an aircraft and mischief for damaging property belonging to the airline."
He is scheduled to appear in bond court in Gander on Tuesday.
The airline refueled and continued its trip to London.
