Villa Park Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspects
VILLA PARK, Ill. (STMW) - Police in west suburban Villa Park have released surveillance photos of two men who robbed a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint earlier this month, in an attempt to identify and arrest the robbers.
At 11 p.m. on Sept. 13, Villa Park Police responded to the 7-Eleven store at Villa and Wildwood for an armed robbery that just occurred. At least one of the two men was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, an alert from police said.
The two are described as white or Hispanic males, both with thin builds, the alert said. One, who was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, was wearing a light blue Under Armour hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes with white laces, while the other suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
There may have been a third suspect also waiting outside the store, the alert said. The offenders were last seen running westbound from the store on Wildwood Street.
Police are trying to identify the two suspects caught on the store's video surveillance system. Anyone with any information on them or the robbery is asked to contact Villa Park Police Sgt. McCann at (630) 592-6117.
