Vikings Getting All The Info They Can Out Of Webb
(CBS) J'Marcus Webb may have more of an impact than the Bears hope in Sunday's game against Webb's new team, the Minnesota Vikings.
The offensive tackle, cut by the Bears on Aug. 30, has been providing the Vikings with all the information he can on Bears new head coach Marc Trestman's offense.
And Vikings coach Leslie Frazier is going to squeeze all the information he can out of the offensive lineman.
"I'm not finished," Frazier said on a conference call Wednesday morning. "We've got more questions for him. We're going to be with him all week long. We have to keep asking him more and more as we go along."
So do the Vikings have bigger plans for Webb other than just using him for information on the Bears?
"We're hoping that he's going to be a solid, at this point, backup tackle for us at right or left," Frazier said. "If we were to have a situation where he had to play, his experience should help him and help us. That's what we're counting on. As he gets a better grasp of our system and what we're asking of our tackles, that he'll be a solid backup guy who can really fill in and help us if we get into that situation."
