Video: HS Girl Charged With Assault After Brutal Soccer Beating

(WSCR) This will add some excitement to women's high school soccer.

According to a report, after Annette McCullough of Lewisville High was tripped while running down the sideline in a game against Chester High, all hell broke loose.

McCullough got up from the grass and began punching her opponent in the head and dragging her by the hair.

"Some incidental contact ended in one girl going down and she just got up and started pummeling," referee Alan Parker told wbtv.com. "It's unfortunate, it really is. Contact is a part of soccer, but when you retaliate like that, obviously, there is no place in the game for that."

McCullough is being charged with simple assault.
