Video: High School Football Player Rips Off Opponent's Helmet, Beats Him With It
(CBS) In high school football, this is about as ugly as it gets.
During Friday night's match up between Hamburg and Annville-Cleona in Lebanon County, Penn., near Harrisburg, a third-quarter fumble turned into a brawl that saw two players get ejected, with one possibly facing criminal charges.
During the fight, Hamburg senior safety/QB Joseph Cominsky ripped off the helmet of lineman Josh Hartman and hit him in the head with it twice before he was stopped.
Police chief Ben Sutcliffe said charges could be filed.
"We are looking at one person particularly at this time, however, upon more information, there might be more involved," he said.
