Video From Bus May Help Solve Brutal Carjacking
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Surveillance video from a CTA bus may provide new clues in a brutal carjacking and shooting in the Little Village neighborhood.
Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, four men wearing ski masks carjacked a 24-year-old man as he drove his gray Nissan down the 2500 block of South Pulaski Road. They shot the victim in the chest, and stuffed him into his own trunk.
The man managed to escape at Pulaski Road and Arthington Street.
A camera on a passing Chicago Transit Authority bus captured the victim tumbling out of the car.
The car was later found on fire in a garage in the 4100 block of West Harrison Street, just north of the Eisenhower Expressway.
The victim remained hospitalized in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital early Wednesday.
