Video: Andrew Shaw's 3OT Game-Winning Goal
(CBS) After two full overtime periods, the Blackhawks and Bruins were understandably exhausted.
Locked in a 3-3 tie more than 10 minutes into the third overtime of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, Michal Rozsival hit a shot from the right point that was tipped by Dave Bolland before Andrew Shaw put the puck in the net, beating Tuukka Rask for the win in the fifth-longest Stanley Cup Final game in history.
"We knew it wasn't going to be pretty," Shaw said. "It was a great shot, great shift. It was unbelievable. All the guys deserved this. It was a great battle for us."
With a 1-0 series advantage, the Blackhawks will face the Bruins again at the United Center on Saturday evening for a chance to go up 2-0.
