Viciedo Returns From Oblique Injury; Danks Optioned To Charlotte
(CBS) The White Sox are looking for a spark in their offense and they hope the return of left fielder Dayan Viciedo will help.
Viciedo was activated from the 15-day disabled list Friday where he has been shelved since suffering a strained left oblique April 18 in Toronto. Viciedo made four rehab starts with the Charlotte Knights and is now ready to return. In 13 games played this season, Viciedo is hitting .229 with two home runs and five RBI.
To make room for Viciedo on the roster, the White Sox optioned outfielder Jordan Danks to Triple-A Charlotte. Danks was 3-for-15 with one home run and two RBI in nine games with the White Sox this season.
