Urlacher: 'On Schedule' To Return From Knee Injury
(WSCR) Brian Urlacher is right on schedule.
Don't expect to see the 33-year-old Urlacher participate in any of the Bears voluntary OTAs, but the veteran middle linebacker is on pace to return from spraining the medial collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments in his left knee during the Jan. 1 season finale against the Vikings.
"It's getting better,'' Urlacher told the Chicago Tribune. "I'm on schedule, so I feel good. At this stage, I know the defense pretty well. I'm not worried about being out there and not knowing what I'm doing.''
The Tribune reported Urlacher is unlikely to participate in the nine remaining voluntary OTAs and could be limited for mandatory veteran mini-camp June 12-14.
"Definitely training camp, I think,'' he said when asked when he expects to be back. "The OTAs are not as important.''
