Urlacher Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Week
(WSCR) It's safe to say the Bears are dominating the NFC Defensive Player of the Week awards.
This week, it was Brian Urlacher who earned the award for his performance in the Bears 51-20 win over the Titans.
Urlacher had seven tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and an interception return for a touchdown in the Bears win.
This is the sixth time Urlacher has been named Defensive Player of the Week. He's now tied with Hall of Famer Richard Dent for most by a Bear.
Urlacher's teammate, Sherrick McManis, was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. McManis blocked a punt, leading to a five-yard touchdown return for Corey Wootton.
