Urlacher Mum On European Knee Treatment
(WSCR) In the wake of a report from The Score's Mike Mulligan that Brain Urlacher traveled to Europe to have an injection-based procedure on his left knee, the Bears middle linebacker wasn't admitting anything to local reporters.
"I didn't think there were any quotes from me, or anybody else for that matter (in the report)?" Urlacher said Wednesday. "... I didn't think so. It doesn't matter what I did or haven't done. This is where we're at now, so that's all that matters."
When pressed if he had been in Europe, Urlacher wasn't budging.
"I went to Europe last year," Urlacher said. "We played in London. So I was definitely in Europe last year."
Head coach Lovie Smith wasn't any quicker to divulge the truth.
"I know right now, Brian Urlacher is here, he's getting healthy every day and I don't see what else we need to talk about," Smith said.
