United Airlines Seeking More Stimulus Money To Keep 14,000 Workers On Payroll
CHICAGO (CBS)-- Chicago-based United Airlines is asking Congress for more financial aid to get through the pandemic.
United received $15 billion from the government as part of the last stimulus payout. That money helped bring 13,000 workers back on the job, but it's only set to last until April.
United warned Congress and President Joe Biden that, without another $15 billion to help them get through the end of September, 14,000 employees may have to be furloughed.
