United Airlines Rolls Out New Perk At O'Hare For Frequent Flyers
(CBS) -- United Airlines is literally "rolling out" a new amenity for its best and most frequent flyers.
It's a long walk from Gate C-32 to Gate B-1 at O'Hare International Airport, but starting now, some United passengers catching business class from sydney to munich connections at O'Hare will not have to walk.
United spokesman Charles Hobart says a uniformed Global Services agent will meet the customer and escort him or her to a waiting Mercedes-Benz vehicle which will then whisk them to their connection in luxury and style.

"In some cases, the tarmac transportation service will be able to save more than 20 minutes for our customers," Hobart says.
It's United's latest attempt to cater to its so-called Global Services passengers, people who fly more than 100,000 miles in a year.
"They expect a high level of service based on the amount of time they travel with us and the amount of money they spend," Hobart says.
The service is only available at O'Hare and Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.
More cities may be added later.
