UIC Cop, Child Among 4 Hurt In Near West Side Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three adults – including at least one University of Illinois at Chicago police officer – and a child were injured late Saturday in a crash on the Near West Side.
The three-vehicle crash happened about 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of West Roosevelt Road and South Ashland Avenue, according to police News Affair Officer Hector Alfaro.
Four people were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, Alfaro said.
One of the injured was a child, according to Alfaro.
A UIC police officer was also injured in the crash, Alfaro said.
