Man Dead, Another Wounded In Austin shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One man is dead and another wounded early Sunday after a shooting in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 3:20 a.m. in the 5100 block of West Kinzie Street, police said.
Details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not yet known, but police say a friend dropped both of them off at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park.
One man, was shot multiple times and was listed in critical condition, police said.
Tyrone Morris, 21, of the 500 block of North Leamington Avenue, was later pronounced dead, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Another man, also in his 20s, is in good condition after he was shot in the elbow and suffered a graze wound to the back, police said. He is not cooperating with police.
Both men are members of the Four Corner Hustlers street gang.
Area North detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody Sunday.
