Two Wounded In Marquette Park Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were shot Tuesday evening in the Southwest Side Marquette Park neighborhood.
The man and woman were shot at 5:39 p.m. in the 3000 block of West 64th Street, according to Fire Media Affairs.
A 23-year-old man was shot in the back and side and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police and fire officials said. A 31-year-old woman was shot in the arm and abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
Both were initially in serious condition, said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines. Circumstances surrounding were not yet clear.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
