Two Women Shot In Roseland
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two women were wounded by gunfire Monday during a drive-by shooting in the South Side Roseland neighborhood.
The two women were in a vehicle traveling northbound in 10200 block of South State Street about 1:45 p.m. when they heard shots and then noticed that they were in pain, police said.
One of the women, 42, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition after at least one bullet struck her in chest, police said.
The other, 32, was treated for a gunshot wound to the forearm at Roseland Community Hospital, police said. She has since been released.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives were investigating.
