Two Shot, One Fatally, In West Englewood
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A shooting late Thursday left one man dead and another wounded in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
About 11:25 p.m., a 23-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were standing on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of South Winchester when a light-colored vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire, police said.
The 52-year-old was shot in the back and shoulder and taken to Christ Medical Center, where he later died, police said. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed a death at that location but could not provide further details.
The other man took himself to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot. His condition was stabilized.
