Two Shot In Greater Grand Crossing
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were shot Thursday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.
They were shot about 4 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Wentworth Avenue, police said.
One man, 27, was shot twice in the right arm, police said. The second man, 24, was also shot, but details on his injury were not yet known.
They made it on their own to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, but were later transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Both men are gang members, and police also believe the shooting is gang-related, a source said.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
