Two Shot In Drive-By Near South Side Gas Station
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were seriously wounded during a drive-by shooting outside a South Side gas station early Wednesday, according to police.
The man and woman were walking outside the Washington Heights neighborhood gas station in the 8900 block of South Ashland Avenue about 2 a.m. when someone in a dark-colored sedan driving by opened fire, police said.
The 20-year-old man was shot in the lower back and the 22-year-old woman was shot in the backside, police said. Both were taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Area South detectives were investigating. No one was in custody early Wednesday.
