Two Shootings On Same Street May Be Related
HARVEY, Ill. (STMW) - Two shootings in less than a week on the same south suburban street were likely related, police say.
At 2 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, multiple victims sustained superficial wounds during a shooting in the area of East 147th Street and Lexington Avenue in Harvey, according to Harvey police spokeswoman Sandra Alvarado.
The number of victims, and their ages and genders was not available, but none of the victims were hospitalized,Alvarado said.
And about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man was shot at the same location and taken to a hospital, Alvarado said. His condition and where on the body he was shot were not available.
The shootings are related but were not linked to gangs, said Alvarado, who would not provide further information, citing the ongoing investigation.
No one was in custody as of late Tuesday afternoon.
