Two Seahawks Players Carted Off The Field
CHICAGO (AP) - Seahawks tight end John Carlson was taken from the field on a cart after landing on his head following a reception about three minutes into Sunday's divisional playoff game against the Bears.
He did not return.
And Seattle had a second player carted off with a head injury when cornerback Marcus Trufant was hurt making a tackle on Bears' tight end Kellen Davis in the third quarter.
Chicago had taken a 7-0 lead on a 58-yard pass from Jay Cutler to Greg Olsen when Carlson went down.
Seattle took over at its 24, and on first down, Carlson caught a flare pass from Matt Hasselbeck along the left sideline.
He tried to leapfrog Chicago's Danieal Manning but got upended, his helmet and right shoulder taking the brunt of the fall. Carlson stayed down for several minutes surrounded by medical personnel and teammates.
He was seen moving his legs before being placed on a board and carted off.
The Bears lost safety Chris Harris in the third quarter after he injured his hip.
