Two Questioned In Strangling In Little Village
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police were questioning two men in the murder of a man found strangled on Tuesday in the Little Village neighborhood.
Chris Pinkins, 27, was pronounced dead at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Sinai Hospital, after he was found unresponsive at 3001 S. Pulaski Rd.
An autopsy on Wednesday determined he was strangled and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Police had earlier believed Pinkins was beaten with a crowbar. It's unclear whether he was both beaten and strangled.
Two persons of interest, men ages 25 and 46, were being interviewed by Harrison Area detectives, but no charges had been filed as of Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded about 2:30 p.m. to a report of a person with a knife in the 3000 block of South Pulaski Road and found Pinkins unresponsive.
Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
