They are both 25-years-old and both from the same town: Chalfont, Pennsylvania, north of Philadelphia.
Steven Gudknecht and Kevin Burge are about 6-foot-3 and 6-foot-2 - but police say they managed to squeeze through the bars on a window and sneak into Wrigley Field.
Cubs Spokesman Julian Green says the men wanted a piece of ivy as a souvenir.
Kevin's mother Rose says both men are tall and thin, and they are big Phillies fans.
"They think Wrigley Field is such a cool place, they probably just wanted to get their pictures on the field, if I know them," said Rose.
"They're big-time baseball fans. Stupid prank, I'm sure. Stupid move."
Police say Burge and Gudknecht were spotted by Wrigley Field security and arrested about 4:15 a.m.
Both men are charged with criminal trespass to property, a misdemeanor.
