Two People Wounded In Drive-By Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man and woman were wounded during a drive-by shooting Sunday in the South Side Grand Crossing neighborhood.
At 7:45 p.m., a vehicle was stopped in traffic in the 7100 block of South Greenwood Avenue when an unknown vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, according to a police News Affairs release. The second vehicle, whose make and model were unknown, then fled the scene.
A 21-year-old man was shot in the right leg and a 19-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks, the release said. Both were taken in "stable" condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
No one is in custody and Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
